Dubai’s thriving culinary scene currently has almost five hundred restaurants within its luxury hotels. And the city boasts some of the world’s finest gastronomic delights from Michelin-starred restaurants to simply grabbing a bite of baklava from a street-side souk. Dubai’s ability to cater for all tastes means that visitors really are spoilt for choice.

In September 2008, a further seventeen restaurants, bars and lounges will open their doors at Atlantis on the Palm Jumeirah. Nobu will be headlining the development with its world renowned Asian-fusion with a celebrity status that is matched by its famous clientele. Joining Nobu will be Ronda Locatelli, a fashionably fun Italian restaurant run by charismatic chef Giorgio Locatelli and Rostang – The French Brasserie, by acclaimed French restaurateur Michel Rostang. And the Ivy, one of London’s most popular celebrity haunts, has also recently announced that they will be making their international debut by opening a restaurant in Dubai.

Other celebrity chefs who have opened restaurants in Dubai include Britain’s Gordon Ramsay with ‘Verre’ at the Hilton Dubai Creek And the Michelin-starred Gary Rhodes is also enjoying success at Grosvenor House where he heads up ‘Rhodes Mezzanine’

And for those wanting a more Arabian experience, enjoy a splendid Bedouin banquet served in the desert whilst seated on traditional cushions and rugs.
