Easy does it


 Getting around Dubai itself is easy – choose from taxi, bus, waterbus or by hiring your own car. Currently, the cream taxi fleet offers the best way of getting around - there are also 50 pink cars for the exclusive use of women. All taxis are metered and the fare from Dubai International Airport to downtown is approximately £4.


New waterbus services were also launched across Dubai Creek last year linking Dubai to Deira offering an inexpensive way to admire Dubai’s skyline from the water.


In 2009, the first stage of the Dubai metro will open with the whole system due to be completed by March 2010. The metro will comprise of six lines with stations at all the major attractions, and an express link between Dubai International and Al Maktoum International Airports.
